SLACK COLLECTIVE
DELIVERABLES: MANAGEMENT, MARKETING, LIVE EVENT PRODUCTION, WEB DESIGN
My work with Slack Collective was about turning creative chaos into a functioning ecosystem.
Slack wasn’t just a space — it was a living DIY art collective, a rotating collision of artists, ideas, events, equipment, personalities, and unfinished possibilities. My role was to help keep that energy alive without letting it collapse under its own weight.
I managed the creative spaces while developing and implementing systems for daily operations, live events, and artist-facing workflows. The focus was optimization without sterilization — building structure that supported the art, not structure that suffocated it.
That meant bringing the collective up to speed with current digital resources, internal SOPs, communication systems, operational standards, and repeatable processes the occupants could actually use. Less guesswork. Less scramble. More room for artists to create, collaborate, and activate the space with intention.
On the live event side, I helped curate and execute programming from the ground up — selecting and preparing featured artists, coordinating third-party equipment and services, managing promotional materials, supporting event production, and making sure the room had what it needed before the doors opened.
Creative space management, live event curation, artist coordination, operations development, SOP creation, vendor support, promotional execution, and DIY infrastructure — all built to protect the spirit of the collective while giving it the systems to survive.
