HLYWTR

DELIVERABLES: DEVELOPMENT, BRANDING, PRODUCT DESIGN, WEB DESIGN, COPY, MARKETING, SOCIAL MEDIA, PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS

My work with HLYWTR was about challenging an oversaturated industry with a bottle built to give back.**

HLYWTR started with a simple but ambitious idea: create a sustainable bottled water brand that directly contributed back to the global water crisis — not as a marketing gimmick, but as part of the product’s reason for existing.

The work began with the name, then moved into product development, brand architecture, design, storytelling, and the long road of turning an idea into something real. Conceiving, building, and integrating the brand was an educational thriller — high risk, high pressure, and loaded with lessons from an industry full of big promises and very little follow-through.

The idea was born after sponsorship review and negotiations for **Halston “Ox” Williams**, where newly acquired insight into the bottled water industry exposed both the opportunity and the problem. Overnight, we began shaping a brand that could bring new thinking to an age-old category — one built around sustainability, social impact, clean design, and a more honest relationship between product and purpose.

Over a 14-month development period, we created the brand foundation, product concept, visual identity, messaging system, packaging direction, web presence, and supporting assets needed to bring HLYWTR to life.

Brand development, naming, product strategy, sustainable CPG concepting, packaging direction, visual identity, cause-based storytelling, website development, sponsorship alignment, and market positioning — all built around proving that bottled water could do more than sit on a shelf.

The company was later sold, and details surrounding the purchaser and what it has become remain under nondisclosure. What can be said is this: the work created for HLYWTR left a real mark — a full brand and product ecosystem built to push against an overbuilt, underperforming industry plagued by empty claims.
